A dressing to redo three times a week, a daily injection: care that does not justify a trip out but does not wait either. For an injection, the client supplies the medication. Filling the pill organizer and administering the medication fall under the same licence: when the prescription runs to eight medications, the dosette becomes a job of its own, and medication errors are among the leading causes of readmission for people aged 70 and over. It is given on a doctor’s order, by a licensed practical nurse whose licence is verified before the profile appears, and nursing care provided to an individual is exempt from GST and QST.

Eligible for the tax credit

This service qualifies for Revenu Québec's tax credit for home-support services for seniors — up to 40% of eligible expenses for anyone aged 70 or over. Your invoices are prepared as the year goes.
