Convalescence and coming home after a hospital stay

Hospital discharge, recovery

The first weeks back home usually decide what follows. A provider is there to see the recovery through, for as long as it takes, without the family having to book time off.

Verified providers · Montreal and the South Shore · no contract, no minimum hours

What this service covers

  • Coming home after a hospital discharge
  • Post-operative recovery and convalescence follow-up
  • Post-hospital monitoring, and flagging anything that looks wrong
  • Help getting back to everyday activities
  • Medication reminders and keeping to the discharge instructions
  • Meals and housekeeping while the recovery lasts

This list is a starting point, not a closed menu. You describe what you need and the provider tells you what they can do.

For you, or for someone you love

Surgery, a fall, a hospital stay: the discharge often comes faster than the house is ready for it. A convalescence provider steps in the day you get home, watches the recovery, follows the discharge instructions and calls you if something is off. Visits can be occasional or daily, for as long as the recovery needs.

Are you a personal support worker, a health-care aide or a nursing assistant who knows post-operative care? Convalescence is the most urgent demand on the platform: it books within days, renews week after week, and often turns into a lasting arrangement with the family.
